This project was developed in ArcGIS to compare the data classifications for COVID-19 death rates and case counts at the state and county levels in the United States. First, the four death rate maps were created by selecting the graduate color symbolization and applying equal interval, quantile, natural breaks, and standard deviation methods. Then, four additional maps were created by applying proportional symbology with data classifications to show the case counts. The results demonstrate the significance of applying the proper data classification, symbology, and color scheme to accurately visualize the data.
